"Rarely does an individual book come along that provides the reader with an unparalleled seafaring odyssey through time, tonnage and technology. To experience it twice from successive volumes is nothing short of a phenomenon. Yet this is exactly what Mr. Warren has managed to achieve . Whereas Volume 1 was a triumph, Volume 2 is a masterpiece!"

"Within the 314 recreated pages of Volume 2, Mark Warren has placed at our fingertips details of a shipbuilding era that ushered in knowledge and experience that remain in use to this day... The detail and salient design features of these 53 diversified ocean liners are portrayed in 221 original Shipbuilder text pages accompanied by 212 original text photographs," along with, "116 original advertisements and another 101 photographs. This composite format was achieved by importing and repositioning some 469 different text and photo elements drawn from nearly 7,000 pages of original Shipbuilder material."

"The story of these 53 ships and of this era of ship construction are all recounted here in Volume 2. Larger by 82 pages than Volume 1 , Distinguished Liners from The Shipbuilder, Volume 2 is a beautifully hand-bound, hand-stitched and gold-stamped treasure trove of historical maritime data, details and depictions. This is a piece of maritime history unparalleled by anything available today..."

"With Distinguished Liners from The Shipbuilder, Volume 2 , Blue Riband - as the name implies - has a real winner on their hands!"

"5 Stars, A labor of love...A must read for the ocean liner enthusiast. Distinguished Liners from the Shipbuilder, Volume 2: 1907-1914 represents the editor's years of experience, study and analysis of almost 7,000 pages of the original shipping journal "The Shipbuilder." The book was compiled and edited by Mark D. Warren renowned maritime historian and author. In 314 pages of unsurpassed accuracy and attention to detail, Mr. Warren through Blue Riband Publications has painstakingly enhanced the original engineering, construction drawings and photographs of 53 ocean liners including my favorites; Britannic, Aquitania and Titanic to name a few. The amount of information in this book is mind-boggling. One could spend hours browsing through these pages, finding yourself transported back in time to a by-gone era. Lastly, Distinguished Liners from The Shipbuilder, Volume 2: 1907-1914 (as well as Volume 1: 1906-1914 which I also own) are in my opinion the finest reference work ever achieved on ocean liners."
